Stonehenge: a midsummernight's dream

Celebration of the summer solstice in Stonehenge

I have made this trip to witness the summer solstice at Stonehenge. I had never been to Stonehenge before, so it had to be a great way for a first visit. The celebrations for the longest night of the year. As I wanted to visit some sites in the neighbourhood, I went there by car. The ferry Calais-Dover is really an easy, fast and affordable way to get to the UK. I had to get used to driving on the 'wrong' side of the road, but it doesn't feel that wrong when following the flow of traffic. However, I'm glad I was driving my own car, steering wheel on the left, gears on the right-hand side.
For a historical background on the sites I've visited, I refer to the links down below this page.
